The general guided tour

16. 5. 2024 from 16:00 at the museum

We invite you to a guided tour led by a curator of the Museum. The tour is intended for visitors who would like to learn more about anthropology, i.e. the science of human. You will learn interesting facts about the life of the museum's founder Aleš Hrdlička, you will be introduced to the development of the human race. At the exhibits the lecturer will show you interesting facts that are visible on the material even after a long time. Egyptian mummies or death masks are also an attractive part of the tour. Do you know why death masks were created? What is typical of trepanation or phrenology? How does an ape skeleton differ from a human skeleton? What does a Venus of Vestoon or a mammoth tooth look like? We look forward to your visit.

The event will take place with a minimum of 6 people registered for a given date. If the number of participants is not reached, the museum reserves the right to cancel the event and will inform the participants via email at least one day before the event.
